Bellyful cooks and delivers meals to whānau, with babies or young children, who need support. There is no charge for Bellyful meals.

Meals are cooked around once per month by a team of volunteers in a Cookathon, then packaged and frozen. Referrals are received from Plunket nurses, midwives, community social workers and family and friends and recipients themselves. Meals are then delivered by volunteers to those whānau.

In the year to March 2022, nearly 600 Bellyful volunteers cooked and delivered 24,898 meals to 4,500 whānau in 25 communities around New Zealand. We aim to have a Bellyful within reach of every whānau that needs us.

Bellyful was founded in 2009 in Franklin (south of Auckland) by Jacqui Ritchie and volunteers have since cooked and delivered over 190,000 meals to more than 35,000 whānau.
